Head of Finance required for our well established and highly respected manufacturing client based in Stourbridge. They are looking for an accountant with an appropriate professional qualification (Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA), a sharp focus, and an eye for accuracy and detail. The successful candidate will have proven success mentoring a small team. You will be reporting to the CEO and will be responsible for all Financial and commercial matters in the business.Key Responsibilities:
  • Being responsible for ensuring full financial controls are in place and any financial risks are eliminated
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management
  • Driving optimal performance in the finance function
  • Leading on all financial planning activities including managing the budgets and forecasting
  • Providing weekly/ monthly commentary of accounts, dashboards and KPI reports
  • Managing performance of the financial team, supporting and overseeing the completion of daily tasks to deadlines
  • Ensuring tax compliance, including VAT, Import/Export
  • Ensuring all accounting systems are fully maintained and provide improvements where necessary
  • Providing a strong commercial insight which will support the business making the right decisions
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Liaise with Operations in developing financial and operational planning
Minimum Qualifications and experience:
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively complex financial information to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • A good track record of working at a senior level in Finance
  • Be commercially astute
  • Be a committed team player with strong and proven team leadership experience,
  • Hands - on approach with the ability and desire to delve into detail when required
  • Able to implement financial change and new processes within finance
Working Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday to FridaySalary Guide: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + Pension & Benefits
