Position Summary

As a result of a forthcoming leaver in the Technology team, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for Head of Digital Technology. This is a key position within the Digital Technology Leadership team reporting into Director of Technology. Edrington is increasingly focussed on direct consumer interaction as we seek to extend the reach of the brands. Given opportunities in today’s digital world, this is a key global role providing vision, strategy and influence across the brand portfolio, business units and markets.

The Head of Digital Technology is responsible for defining, driving and delivering the digital technology vision at both a strategic and operational level, including the development, management and support of all consumer facing digital applications, including the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, eCommerce platform, Content Management Systems (CMS) and all web based systems.

Job Description

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Shape and influence the digital agenda across the organisation and engage senior stakeholders such as BU MD’s, RMD’s, FLT Leadership and Brand Directors.
  • Define and implement the enterprise-wide digital strategy for Edrington and EUK including eCommerce (owned and 3P) and a strategy for consumer data and analytics.
  • Create a strategic roadmap for the wider “Digital” transformation, including championing digital within the organisation to deliver a step-change in our digital capability
  • Develop a technology roadmap for all consumer facing systems including consumer data capability across the enterprise
  • Lead, build and mentor a team of professionals across the various disciplines of digital to drive and embed change
  • Inspire, coordinate and align teams in the US, UK, Europe, APAC and global brand teams to enable active engagement to progress the key digital (ecommerce) growth drivers to achieve our goals
  • Provide strategic oversight, guidance and support for the portfolio to enable growth through the application of digital technology, policies, standards and procedures and ensure best practice sharing across teams.
  • Drive innovation in the digital technology space to further improve consumer experiences and ecommerce to advance our brands, including exploring emerging digital trends such as voice skills, AI, Machine Learning and AR/VR applications etc
  • Creation of a data strategy to establish insights, understanding and improvement plans for our brands in the digital world.
  • Prioritise & manage delivery of all consumer facing application development projects globally
  • Engagement and management of 3rd party technology providers, consultancies, external development and consultant resource

Skills And Experience

To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to Degree level with appropriate professional qualifications, with senior leadership experience commensurate to this level of role. To be successful you will have a proven track record of building high performing teams with experience of cross functional collaboration to implement change. You will be a strong project manager with experience of delivering key business projects in a complex organisational structure with the gravitas to build strong relationships at all levels.
