HEAD OF CUSTOMER DATA SCIENCE

£100,000 - £120,000

LONDON - HYBRID

A market leading ecommerce with millions of customers is looking for a Head of Customer Data Science to play a leading role in delivering the strategic goal of deliveering exceptional customer experience across all domains. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solutions focused individual with a strategic midset to lead a successful data science team.

THE COMPANY

This company is a rapidly expanding start-up that is looking for a strong Data Scientist to work on their AI platform and help their clients become more efficient and strategic with their pre-existing data.

THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Strategic planning to harness data, technology and marketing channels to their full potential.
  • Identification of new personalisation opportunities in addition to improving existing initiatives.
  • Create and implement test and learn strategy.
  • Ownership of key projects from inception to delivery ensuring business goals are met
  • Managing the delivery of machine learning projects end-to-end: identifying business opportunities, managing the build and deployment, helping embed solutions into operational processes.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across our business (Marketing, Product, Commercial and Tech) to ensure we are using data science to drive our decisioning.
  • Clear and effective communications with stakeholders including creating engaging presentations, running workshops, and explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of a customer lifetime value and work with key stakeholders to optimise this metric
  • Building your knowledge and learning new skills by attending workshops, seminars and conferences or self-learning materials.
  • Work closely with other data teams to share knowledge, evaluate opportunities and pro-actively recommend improvements in data, systems, experimentation and propositions.
  • Inspire and manage employee performance, engagement and development in line with objectives and MoneySuperMarket Group values.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience of delivering commercial outcomes from the application of productionised predictive modelling and advanced analytics
  • Experience reviewing the appropriate application of machine learning and statistical techniques with proper usage and evaluation
  • Excellent quantitative skills and an ability to inspire confidence in data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills with experience working across multiple teams within an organisation
  • Experience working with and knowledge of modern data architectures, infrastructure, and tools.
  • Good working knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Strong data visualisation skills
  • Desire to understand, in detail, the customer experience of using Moneysupermarket Group services.

Desirable:

  • Experience developing on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience of using data to personalise customer experience.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics.
  • Direct experience with development (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau etc.) in a management and analytical capacity.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this role is £100,000 to £120,000 with other substantial benefits.
