Head of Curriculum Maths and English (22/247) £41,775 per annum 37 hours per week Permanent Location: Beverley or Bridlington We are now offering a fantastic opportunity to join East Riding College in the role of Head of Curriculum Maths and English. About the role The College is looking to appoint a committed and motivated manager to lead our English and Maths team. The postholder will be lead all aspects of curriculum development and delivery, with responsibility for an experienced team across two main campuses. This is a diverse role which requires somebody able to design and implement effective cross-college strategies and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in order to achieve targets and drive quality improvement. Applications are welcome from those with curriculum management experience in all subject areas. Other duties will include: Planning and timetabling of English and maths for 16-19 study programmes, adults and apprentices Leading development of e-learning and use of technology across the curriculum area Implementing quality processes and delivery quality enhancement Managing budgets All aspects of line management including recruitment and appraisals Attendance at meetings and events About the person The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills and experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning. Candidates should also have: Minimum level 2/GCSE in English and Maths
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate in Education or PGCE
  • Experience of quality assurance and self-assessment
  • Curriculum management and curriculum development experience
