Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a new Head of Core IT Systems to join our growing team in Skelmersdale. The key responsibility for this role is to ensure our IT systems can sustain current and future needs; ensuring development, change, operation and support are optimised. This role is responsible for leading the IT Systems Team within the Core IT function, with up to 4 direct reports.

Responsibilities:
  • D365 Product Champion for Element IT
  • Leading the IT Systems function providing training, support, advice and feedback to team members
  • Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across both IT and the Element business
  • Establishing IT systems performance through metrics, stakeholder engagement and transactional feedback; developing action plans to address areas needing improvement
  • Leveraging systems related best practices and frameworks, to establish and continuously improve IT systems operation and functionality
  • Ensuring IT systems remain within operational standards and governance in regards to currency, security, licencing and budget
  • Preparing cost analyses, budget plans and proposals as needed
  • Ensuring the IT Systems Team operate within Change standards, process and procedures when modifying IT systems
  • Maintaining knowledge of IT systems technology and industry trends
  • Leading major IT systems incident recovery
  • Leading IT systems vendor reviews and managing performance when required
Skills / Qualifications:

Our new role requires an experienced IT systems leader, practised in the development and support of IT systems used within the Element business. The role requires a strong operational focus and managerial skills, as well as a deep commitment to end-user satisfaction and experience in driving systems improvement.


Experience within the following areas is required:

  • Significant experience managing an IT Systems and Development Team in an environment of similar size and complexity
  • D365 - CE, HR, F&O, Project Operations (& D365 Portals)
  • Microsoft Power Platform - PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI
  • SharePoint Online, including the migration to SharePoint online
  • Azure, including Azure DevOps
  • Business process mapping
  • Business analysis
