As Head of Business Development, you’ll provide leadership to a small team, developing and delivering our international direct sales expansion strategy (launching over 10+ owned markets by 2026), as well as driving commercially strong relationships across our 20+ global distributor markets which accounts for circa £10m t/o. This will involve the continuation of our distributor segmentation plans and review of distributor activity, accordingly, driving the use of direct sales principles, adoption of our brand pillars and achieving sales growth.

  • Lead on the creation, planning and continuous review of both owned and distributor market expansion plans
  • Delivery of a global framework for the research, planning, integration and execution of opening new markets
  • Supporting bringing a global mindset across the business
  • Identifying improvements across process/ways of working to achieve more efficient and multiple market openings
  • Work closely with Global Sales on the integration of new markets to our existing infrastructure
  • Coordinate the work of our Commercial Nutritionist, ensuring the focus is on supporting our expansion plans and provide any nutritional insight that could affect the direction of the core proposition

Am I the right person for this role?

Success will come from your demonstrable experience of successfully opening or launching new markets or revenue channels in a consumer led organisation from concept to launch. You’ll bring significant business development and strategic project development expertise and provide positive business challenge across peer networks and business leaders. You’ll also;

  • Be a passionate leader that can engage, develop and drive high performance to your team
  • Have the ability to manage activity across multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Have experience of formulating and managing departmental budgets
  • Provide cross-functional influence and leadership to support the development of new commercial opportunities
  • Be comfortable with regular travel in both the UK and Internationally (we have markets across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and South America), typically this would be once per month
