The Role

We are looking for a new Housekeeping Manager to join our friendly and dynamic crew. In this role you will lead by example, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the hotel within the Housekeeping responsibility, and keeping within budget guidelines. You will continually build, motivate and train your team to achieve results and constantly review operating procedures and expenditure in order to reduce cost and improve efficiency. You will ensure the appropriate staffing levels are maintained, in line with hotel occupancy and following legal obligations relating to staff and working hours.

What You’ll Do

Work to improve productivity and efficiency of room cleaning Analyse guest data to plan resources and materials required to meet operational requirements Maintain strong working relationships with the General Manager, Hotel teams and suppliers to ensure clear communication and implementation of best practice Identify ways to improve Guest Satisfaction Adhere to H&S Policy, keep all work areas neat and well organised COSHH/Manual Handling Recruit, train, manage and monitor team performance daily/weekly Deliver and exceed financial targets Manage expenditure and payroll to ensure budgets are achieved Participate in training to improve skills and performance Solve routine challenges that occur on the job

What We Need

Strong operational knowledge with previous experience in a management or supervisory position in hospitality, preferably in a similar property A positive welcoming attitude, with confidence and professionalism to liaise effectively with guests. A strong leader is adaptable with good interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment and passion for delivering an exceptional level of customer service. Ability to work under pressure, with excellent attention to detail. To be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. A high standard of personal presentation You will be flexible and well organised; hours are an average of 40+ hours per week 5/7 days. We expect the role holder to want to work weekends and holiday periods as these are our busiest times.
