Shipley Golf Club are looking for a Development / Head Chef to manager and develop both the newly established Restaurant 19 and the already established clubhouse bar and catering. The Club was founded in 1896 and relocated to its current location with a Course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie in 1921, tucked away in a beautiful quiet and mature wooded valley at Beckfoot just outside the town of Bingley in West Yorkshire. The setting, working conditions and hours of work are of a premium in the hospitality industry and we are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and skilled Chef.You will be responsible for picking and employing your own team within the kitchen. Job Purpose: As a Head Chef you will manage the kitchen team, run the daily operations of the kitchen and report to the House Director and Board. Responsibilities: Developing menus using the highest possible ingredients
  • Managing, motivating and staffing your team, supporting them to consistently exceed company standards
  • Producing food to the highest standards
  • Liaise with external companies to place food orders
  • Control and direct the food preparation process
  • Responsibility for GP%; controlling costs such as operating, purchasing and staffing in line with budgets
  • Ensuring all requirements of Health and Safety and Food Safety are met Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A passion and flair for delivering quality food using fresh ingredients
  • Well organised, hardworking, an inspirational leader
  • Fantastic communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with Front of House, kitchen, golf club members and the Board
  • The ability to manage, motivate and take responsibility for the kitchen team. Rewards:
