The role:
At our hotel, we’re looking for a team who are passionate about The Lake District and our local food and drink producers, and are eager to be a part of this incredible way of life. As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside others who prioritise our guests and support each other.

As the Head Chef at Another Place The Lake, you’ll bring culinary passion, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail to the team. You’ll craft innovative menus, oversee operations, and ensure top-notch food quality across our three kitchens. Your leadership will inspire and guide the kitchen team, fostering harmony and efficiency. With your culinary finesse and unwavering commitment, you’ll deliver extraordinary dining experiences to our guests.

What your days could look like:

Reporting our General Manager, the primary responsibility of the Head Chef is to serve up fresh flavours all day long. Great food is a central part of our guest experience and this prominent role is for a talented, efficient individual whose culinary skills are matched by their ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Work with the team to develop new seasonal menus and dishes
• Deliver a consistently excellent food experience for our guests
• Create dishes to reflect our brand, taking account of seasonality and local produce
• Recruit, train and manage the kitchen team
• Manage suppliers and purchasing to achieve budgeted food gross profits and overheads
• Manage food safety in line with legislation and company standards ensuring that the business is compliant at all times
• Experience of working as a head chef in a similar role for a minimum of 3 years
• Broad culinary knowledge & experience
• Food hygiene qualification - level 3 or above
• Desire and ability to train others
