Unilever’s Hair category is a > €6Bn business. The Research programme is driven through two major axes: Consumer Benefit or Formats. As part of a multi-functional category team, the role provides thought leadership for a defined Consumer Benefit.

Aligned to our Sustainability commitments and Business Ambitions, the Technology Leader defines and develops a roadmap of superior technologies, claims and capabilities to deliver into a wide range of international brands

Responsibilities
  • As part of a multi-functional category team, provides thought leadership for the consumer benefit.
  • Based on deep consumer understanding and technical expertise, develop a compelling technology strategy
  • Lead Technology Programme to deliver Exciting Technology and Engaging Claims
  • Lead the team and nurture the team members

All About You
  • Technical education - Post-graduate degree (or equivalent by experience) in physical science. (not limited to, but of particular relevance are surfactant and polymer chemistry, rheology, surface modification and measurement, microbiology)
  • Still curious about science and passionate about technology
  • Successful career in Research and /or Development in in FMCG environment
  • Proven record of providing thought leadership and delivery in an R&D programme
  • Proven capability to manage multidisciplinary internal & external teams across global locations
  • Adept at managing range of stakeholders and developing talent
