Location:Home based with necessary travel to sites on a regular basisSalary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum plus benefits.Our client is a UK based resources and renewable energy engineering business. It is focused on project delivery across the whole project lifecycle, from project inception to decommissioning. The Group is well-known in the UK as a technical problem solver and a reliable contracting partner. The Group has wide ranging capability to deliver projects. This is especially true in the Energy from Waste sector. The Group increasingly works in other areas too delivering projects in Biomass, Anaerobic Digestion, Carbon Capture and Storage, Energy Storage and Waste to Fuel / Chemical.Working with its supply chain of selected partners and contractors, the company delivers integrated assets for funders, asset managers and developers. The Group also provides effective Operation and Maintenance services. The repurposing of industrial assets (after failures / suboptimal processes) is another key specialism.The RoleThe company is seeking a Training Coordinator with a background of working in a training department. The role will cover booking training, administration tasks, management of training matrices and training plans. Supporting the training for sites and working with managers and group Support functions, namely HR and QHSE.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the training calendar ensuring that all company training events are captured and,communicated
  • Record all bookings and make information available for appropriate colleagues and Managers
  • Communicate booking confirmation details to staff, where and when the training will be held and on what date, calendar invites to be sent
  • Management of training certificates including distribution to relevant parties.
  • Ensure training and assessment documents are returned, filed and stored correctly in the HR files
  • Support with audit and inspection preparations alongside QHSE department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, including attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Good Time Management, able to work to conflicting priorities that may arise
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Able to produce and run reports
  • Manage the external training and internal training, working alongside Managers, HR, and Health & Safety#Making sure the training matrix for all sites are kept up to date
  • Booking any mandatory training requirements that may come up
  • Ensure induction records are updated and available for site and group function managers
  • Follow up with employees prior to the training date to ensure employees are aware and will attend booked courses
  • Identify training providers where necessary for approval by managers
  • Provide monthly reports on training courses delivered by site/department/company including repeat no shows.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
  • Previous experience of co-ordinating training courses (internal and external)
  • Experience of updating and maintaining training records
  • Career evidence of Continuous Personal Development
  • Administration experience of 2 years in a generalist role within Training/Learning & Development
  • Qualification in Training & Development, desirable
  • Full clean driving licence
