We are looking for an experienced, hard-working and highly organised Group Marketing Manager to join our marketing team at James’ Places. We are a fast-paced, privately owned multi-site hospitality business. The group has seen significant growth, with further expansion planned, so this is an exciting time to join the marketing team in delivering new openings as well as continuing the success of our current venues.

This is a unique role for an ambitious, motivated candidate who has a passion for hospitality. You will be based at our Head Office in Clitheroe, but the role will involve time spent at our venues each day. You will be responsible for the development, production and implementation of all marketing strategies and related projects associated with all our venue’s revenue and marketing objectives. You will oversee the management of all internal and external communications including but not limited to our websites, social media and third party channels. In addition, an essential part of this role is to represent our company within the local business community through networking and events.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans across all venues and deliver activations and campaigns in different areas including weddings, food & beverage, rooms, meetings & events and retail.
  • Understand individual venue’s revenue targets, as well as departmental and company goals, for development and growth through marketing activity
  • Liaise directly with the management teams at each venue to support with all customer facing marketing material and collateral required
  • Proactively suggest and recommend new promotions and partnerships for all areas of the business including weddings, F&B and rooms.
  • Ownership and management of the monthly marketing plan
  • Identify, deliver and execute additional revenue generating opportunities such as ticketed events across all venues
  • Manage spend and campaign plans with print and digital media, suppliers and partners
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of multiple social media accounts across all venues
  • Liaising with third parties and agencies on digital marketing strategy including PPC and social media advertising
  • Drive the email marketing strategy with targeted campaigns across all venues
  • Manage and maintain all venue websites, working closely with the Marketing Executives and external web developers to ensure all content are optimised to meet both performance and business objectives.
  • Creative copywriting for online and offline marketing . Content including PR, web, printed collateral
  • Be the first point of contact for all reactive PR enquiries, evaluate the opportunity and respond accordingly
  • Provide reporting to the senior management team as required
  • Attend internal and external events, representing the business
  • Manage Marketing Executive’s and Marketing Apprentice’s output and implementation of the group’s overall marketing strategies and activity plan
  • To assist and support the Managing Director and Operations Director with additional marketing requests as required

Key Skills, Qualities & Experience

· Minimum 6 years marketing experience, ideally in the hospitality industry

· Degree or equivalent in marketing or business management

· Excellent organisation skills, including time management

· Ablilty to multitask and manage multiple deadlines

· Analytical skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and platforms

· Excellent verbal and written communication with impeccable attention-to-detail

· Understanding of financial information to shape marketing activity

· Supervisory experience essential

· Has a desire to learn, improve, apply new knowledge and develop

· Regular travel between venues is required

Package

· Up to £45,000 per annum

· Weekend and evening work is required

· 28 days annual holiday

· 0.45p per mile for all journeys made to the venues (head office based at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe)
