Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, a FTSE 100, multi-national engineering Group, is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Group’s Corporate Communications team to support the conception and development of creative communications for a range of audiences utilising both on and offline channels.

The Role

6 month fixed-term contract.

What you will be doing

This is an exciting new role which has the potential to convert to a permanent position in support of the Group’s evolving communications activity. As part of a small central team, working collaboratively with communicators and other creatives across the Group, you will be helping to shape the visual communications landscape for more than 8,200 colleagues worldwide, working to enhance our digital presence as well as supporting Communications-led projects and campaigns.

As Group Graphic Designer you will take the lead in visualising and evolving the creative look and feel for the Spirax-Sarco Engineering (Group) branded materials and communications, to meet the needs of the Corporate Communications team and its internal stakeholders including other Group functions. Responsibilities will include:

  • Brand management and evolution
    • Ensure all design wrk is undertaken within the key parameters of the Group’s existing brand guidelines while evolving the creative approach in line with audience and project needs and supporting the development of refreshed brand guidelines
  • Graphic Design
    • Develp design solutions to support a range of communications objectives for internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to:
      • Social Media, Website and Intranet touts, banners and animations
      • Online and interactive documents including magazines, brochures, reports
      • Digital signage and online campaigns
      • PowerPoint Presentations
      • Conceptual brand development for projects and initiatives
      • Templates and toolkits
      • Printed materials, including brochures, posters, leaflets, merchandise
  • Project management
    • Develp and maintain an accessible and searchable key asset library containing images, logos, guidelines, elements, templates and re-usable content
    • Prvide briefs for photography commissions, analyse contact sheets, upload images, input tagging and meta-data, seek approvals as appropriate
    • Manage the team’s relatinship and license requirements with online resource providers

This will be a hybrid home and office-based role, with an occasional requirement for travel within the UK and internationally.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with the following qualities and experience:

  • Significant related creative design experience from working in-house or within an agency
  • Ability to combine blue sky creative development with excellent attention to detail
  • Capability across the design spectrum from concept development to technical preparation for online and print
  • Fully conversant with the full Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good Microsoft Office skills including excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage time to ensure delivery to deadlines
  • Resourceful, adaptable and creative, with the ability to come up with innovative ideas and remain calm under pressure
  • Acts with integrity at all times, seeks and acts on feedback, proactive at identifying opportunities for personal and professional development
