The Company

Camira is a global innovator in the design and manufacture of interior fabrics and textile solutions for commercial interiors and mass passenger transportation. We make around 8 million metres of fabric a year at sites in the UK and in Lithuania and we sell worldwide to around 80 different countries. We’re a creative company and our products are defined by colour and design, inspiring the interiors that they furnish and the customers who choose, use and specify them. Our digital tools and assets are a fundamental way of bringing our products to life, marketing them through digital channels and ensuring the best possible digital user experience.

The Role

The Group Digital Marketing Manager is a senior marketing role within the Camira global marketing team, working proactively to develop and manage our digital marketing strategies, their tactical implementation and the creation of appropriate digital assets to build the Camira brand in our chosen market segments and geographies. The position is varied and challenging, with an important remit within our next 5 year business plan – called Ambition 2026 – where we are seeking to push a digital first agenda, developing the right digital solutions to accelerate our progress and points of difference in the interiors industry.

Key accountabilities cover the following:

  • Be accountable for the management and ongoing development of Camira’s website to ensure it is fit for purpose within the competitive landscape and within the commercial and transportation interiors industries, developing UX, website architecture, enhanced functionality, managing content and adopting best practice for search, desktop and mobile usage
  • Manage our third-party agencies and other digital partners, managing retainer relations as well as specific projects, to ensure they deliver value within agreed budgetary and service frameworks
  • Actively use and manage a wide range of digital tools, techniques and tactics, such as SEO, PPC, Google Adwords, re-marketing and A-B testing, to drive targeted traffic to the website, with a view to increasing engagement and ultimately conversion
  • Use Google Analytics and social media metrics for data driven insights to understand customer behaviours, to generate relevant content or to feed into recommendations for improvement, including enhanced functionality
  • Work actively and collaboratively with our ICT and Digital Solutions team to develop our e-commerce platform, marketing automation systems and integration with other business systems and plug-ins
  • Actively manage and promote the use of CRM, for marketing and wider business purposes at Group level, acting as consultant, trainer and champion, so that it can be used for proactive marketing, lead nurturing, special price contracts and opportunity management
  • Embrace the concept of Digital First to push the boundaries of marketing possibilities afforded by digital technologies, challenging conventions, bringing the best b2c principles to enrich the wider digital experience in our predominantly b2b marketplace
  • Use digital technologies and platforms to create a media rich digital landscape to promote the Camira brand and provide competitive advantage, for example creating virtual interiors, online moodboards, delivering webinars, using animation, flipbook software, etc
  • Support and operate strategically across all marketing pillars of activity (Digital, Insight, Comms, Creative, International) working together with the Director of Marketing and other team members to develop digital marketing strategy in line with wider marketing and business strategies
  • Report on metrics and KPIs, making strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Advise the marketing team and the general business on best practice in the field of digital marketing, keeping pace with technological advances and on-line trends to put Camira at the forefront of digital marketing

The person

We’re looking for an experienced digital marketing expert, with proven ability across wide-ranging digital marketing platforms in either a b2b or b2c context, applying segmentation techniques and tailored channel marketing, delivering concrete ROI. You’ll have experience of designing, building and managing complex websites, leading project teams, managing stakeholder requirements, and managing third party digital agencies. You’ll also need in-depth knowledge of Google platforms and be a skilled CRM practitioner for marketing and sales management. Of course, excellent ICT skills are a must, along with a flair for digital media and software, and a hunger for exploiting new digital technologies to improve customer engagement and brand experience.
