GPS Field Operations Engineer

Main Aspect of Job

Provide estimating and project support for GPS opportunities. Oversee project

progress and respond for quality and profitability.

Streamline Client Layer 1 documentation so the deployment operating team could

Specific Responsibilities

1. Perform field site assessments, installation inspections and evaluate needs of

clients.

2. Develop and maintain proposal documents and responses customized to the

client.

3. Coordinate with local and regional Siemon sales force to determine Certified

Installer capabilities and Distributor preferences for utilization in GPS

installations.

4. Reviewing quotes and taking part in conference calls on projects that require

a greater knowledge of telecommunications requirements.

5. Support development of estimates for multiple site roll-outs.

6. Manage and continually update the GPS Project Database to reflect customers,

opportunities and projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Demonstrated experience of installation and cost estimation with a focus on

LAN infrastructure systems.

• Experience in evaluating and responding to commercial low voltage Infrastructure

RFP, RFQ and RFI.

• Practical field experience with installation of LAN/WAN information transport

systems.

Preferred

• Ability to read technical drawings and provide Low Voltage design assistance.

• Experience in estimating and Layer 1 Assessments.

• Experience working for a low voltage installation company in operations or

estimating.

Skills

• Czech language skills in addition to English an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal, interaction and teamwork skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Intermediate user of Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.

• Understanding of multi-site project management process.
