The Opportunity:

Our client is currently looking to bring on an experienced GIS Systems Administrator to assist with the management of their backend Geographical Information System (GIS) server infrastructure. You will work as part of a dynamic team who are delivering geospatial mapping, modelling and analytics services for a variety large scale infrastructure projects. You will manage and oversee a diverse team of IT and GIS officers, undertake audits of work and ensure department is able to operate effectively.

Skills and Experience:

  • A strong background supporting ARC GIS server infrastructure
  • A solid understanding of the management of backend UNIX servers (Debian/Ubuntu)
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (GCP/AWS)
  • Experience supporting hosted applications (mobile/web)
  • Strong data processing and analytics skills (oracle SQL/Postgres SQL)
  • Able to obtain SC clearance

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver cradle to grave GIS solutions and proactively solve problems.
  • Support onsite and cloud hosted using ArcGIS Enterprise Infrastructure and ESRI products
  • Undertake middleware and Geospatial data processing
  • Motivate, coach and train team helping to provide a positive and productive work environment
