General Foreman

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a General Foreman to join our Major Structures team to work in Birmingham. You will be working as part of the delivery team on a variety of structures including overbridges, underbridges and pre-segmental viaducts.

• Carries out Safety and Environmental tours as required by the project H&S plan
• Contributes to accident/incident investigations. Directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and four page reports)
• Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
• Implements systems and processes to manage the quality of the constructive works
• Apply skills and knowledge to assist engineering teams in planning stage programmes
• Involved in the procurement of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects/preferred attendances

• Experience working as a General Foreman on large scale infrastructure and civils projects
• CSCS
• SMSTS

Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.

We are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
