We are looking for an enthusiastic reliable person to join our mixed dairy farm business as a full time general farm worker.

The farm milks 300 Holstein cows and rears its own replacements. It also fattens out all home born beef calves, has a winter lambing flock of sheep, grows maize and has 400 acres of combinable crops.

The job requires someone who is an experienced competent tractor driver that also enjoys stock work. The role will vary depending on the season but routine responsibilities will include bedding and feeding around the dairy and housed young stock. Tractor driving will include work on both grassland and arable crops, such as slurry tanking, fertilizing, power harrowing, straw loading/hailing and grain carting. Manual work will include fencing and other general animal husbandry and maintenance work.

The role requires every other weekend to be worked. Pay is dependent on experience. The applicant must have a valid driving license. A PA1/2 certificate for spraying is not essential but would be looked on favorably.
