IMMEDIATE START

A long established, family owned, food wholesaler, located in Exeter, Devon.

We specialise in sourcing and supplying a broad range of Chilled, Frozen, Ambient products from across the Southwest. We also run a sister company called West Country Olives.

We slice, cut and pack the majority of products we stock.

We have got an exciting position that has become available to join our small friendly team ASAP.

38-42 hours a week approximately, seasonal overtime in our busier periods (Christmas as an example)

Working hours can be flexible, office opening hours are 8am - 4pm. (Occasional early morning starts to cover annual leave when required)

Main Responsibilities

• General accounts to include supplier payments and book keeping.
• Admin assistant, duties to include receiving incoming
• Assisting with marketing, creative ideas and social media for both our Wholesale Food business and our Sister Company ’West Country Olives’
• Working in our warehouse (large fridge and picking rooms) to assist the team with picking orders for our customers. (When required and to cover annual leave)

Experience and Skills

Essential

· A Passion for food!

· Proven ability of using own initiative whilst working independently and as part of a team

· Experience of working well under pressure whilst promoting a positive target focused attitude

· Understanding the importance of good personal and food hygiene

· Good level of English and mathematical skills, being able to problem solve.

· Be able to self-motivate and manage own time over a variety of tasks

· Having pride in your work.

· Excellent computer skills, being able to use software and ability to learn quickly.

· Desirable

· Account/admin experience

· Interest in the food industry, supporting local produce and businesses.

· Communication (Essential)

· Ability to communicate well with colleagues, effectively handling difficult situations and being open to changes within the business

Initial probationary period.
