The Opportunity

We have a multi-site role that has become available to be part of our Bradford Schools PFI contract at Amey. Working within a Secure Infrastructure Sector, you will be part of a team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering reactive and planned maintenance. You will be issued with a vehicle for work use with no private usage allowed.

Hours: 37.5 hour per week plus callout/overtime

What will this role involve
  • Routine and non-routine maintenance on all gas installations.
  • Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment. Work with a variety of plant equipment such as gas appliances, gas boilers, heating plant, pumps and ventilation. Minor plumbing work will be required.
  • Check, repair and mend faults and life expired equipment.
  • Inspections and risk assessment.
  • Minimise wastage and continually improve processes.
  • Ensure statutory works are carried out to time and that work is compliant.
  • This role will also require working at height, PASMA and IPAF skills.
What are we looking for?
  • The successful candidate will need to attain advanced DBS clearance to work within Schools.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Relevant commercial gas qualifications including: COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CODNCO1.
  • Proven experience carrying out service and breakdown on industrial/commercial boilers and appliances and should hold strong technical knowledge with fault finding and diagnostic ability.
  • Plumbing experience will be advantageous.
