You will work alongside other consultant psychiatrists to deliver an exciting new model of collaborative locality based mental health care in our Integrated Care Areas.

As a Trust, we want our doctors to work at their full potential. For this reason, we are offering new appointees the chance to extend their development. If you want to undertake a further qualification, undertake research or involve yourself in our transformation, we are happy to consider a flexible SPA offer above the standard 2.5 SPAs to enable study, such as:

  • MBA
  • Leadership development
  • Psychotherapy qualifications
  • PGCE
  • Research

We will provide the full range of CPD and training support available to a substantive consultant and would be happy to discuss a generous relocation package with you, to enable you to settle in the county. The job descriptions can be found at NHSjobs.com.

We are a cohesive and collaborative senior medical group and we enjoy a range of academic opportunities through links with Exeter and Plymouth Universities. We have an excellent monthly local CPD programme. Clinically, we work in a continuity model of care and protect our SPAs. As trainers, we have high trainee satisfaction and great exam success.

Academically, our active Research Department continues to foster and sustain an organisational culture where research, development and innovation are at the core of the Trust’s business activities.

Do you want to work in a trust that will develop you as a clinician, manager, leader, educator or researcher?

This is your opportunity to practise psychiatry in a forward looking organisation, within a beautiful rural county with a rich and diverse landscape, wide open spaces and vibrant communities.
