DignityFunerals are currently seeking a customer focused Funeral Service Arranger to join our branch at Dillistones Funeral Directors in Worthing on a part-time basis working Wednesday 1pm - 5pm and Thursday/Fridays 9am - 5pm.


Your next role is predominantly client facing, providing the first point of contact for bereaved family and friends. You will work in an office environment, holding excellent organisational and customer service skills as you manage the process of arranging a funeral, always acting with empathy and compassion.


What Will I Be Doing?


  • Taking enquires from clients, completing a full brief and sensitively establishing rapport
  • Organising the funerals from beginning to end, including ordering flowers, booking service sheets and arranging ministers etc
  • Undertaking any administration duties
  • Escort families to the chapel of rest and be present at the viewing
  • Remain the point of contact with families until you hand over to the Funeral Director
  • Supporting any ad-hoc duties
  • Travel between Dignity sites when required and customers homes


What Do I Need To Have?


  • Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both in person and remotely
  • Comfortable coming into contact with the deceased through the Chapel of Rest visits
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential
  • Previous administration experience
  • A passion for customer service with an administration or front of house customer focused background
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Funeral Service experience isn’t essential as full training will be offered, however candidate’s would benefit from having experience in a customer facing service role.
  • Flexibility to offer sickness and holiday cover to neighbouring branches
