Permanent Office based role

Hours 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Sea Freight or Ocean Freight Coordinator for a national logistics company based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

The Role

This position forms part of the existing Operations Team. It requires the jobholder to participate in the day to day Ocean freight operations and all of the related administration. To build relationships with the Existing clients and deliver a high standard of customer care at all times.

Duties or the Sea Freight Coordinator

  • Managing the day to day export bookings of Worldwide Ocean freight.
  • Raising job files and all of the appropriate paperwork.
  • Processing the jobs utilising the Azyra software system.
  • Extensive client liaison both written (email) and verbal (telephone).
  • Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
  • Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service status information.
  • Invoicing jobs on completion.

Skills/Experience

  • Ocean freight operations experience, ideally with an export bias.
  • Customer service experience with the ability to build strong relations.
  • Experience of calculating freight quotations.
  • Negotiating skills to maximise gross profit.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
  • Good IT Skills.
  • Confident Outgoing personality
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team Player
  • Attention to detail
