Job Purpose

As a FP&A Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Group’s financial strategic planning. Your technical proficiency, strategic mindset, and analytical acumen will contribute to the precision and efficacy of financial decision-making within the organization.

You will report into and work closely with the Director of Group FP&A to support planning and performance reporting against a breadth of strategic objectives. This will include contributing to the future strategic decision making of the Group and identifying, analysing and reporting on internal and external risks and opportunities to these strategic objectives.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Action and support Group Planning & Strategy
  • Develop strategic partnership with CFO and Director of Group FP&A as a trusted advisor
  • Lead and manage Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) process and outputs including annual budgeting, forecasting and long range planning
  • Own the strategic planning (IR) model - Leverage business insights, scenario modelling and analysis to develop financial models and drive commercial decision-making and complex problem-solving
  • Lead capital allocation/investment process, consolidation, reporting and ROI analysis
  • Lead CGU impairment and dividend modelling
  • Challenge, highlight and investigate areas of opportunity for strategic recommendations; identify emerging themes to drive future value opportunities
  • Drive the preparation of relevant papers for the Board and Executive Team
  • Drive the preparation of financial information for external Investor reporting
  • Closely follow-up macro-economic developments and assess impacts toward business with particular focus on FX
  • Support the month-end process and reporting, perform variance analysis on performance against Group plan
  • Drive continuous improvement across Group FP&A processes
  • Partner with Group FP&A Reporting and Analytics, Group Financial Control and Divisional Finance
  • Support the Corporate Development Director on M&A activity:
  • Identify and evaluate potential target companies against the Group’s acquisition criteria
  • Support financial due diligence efforts in potential mergers and acquisitions
  • Project manage the financial integration of acquisitions working as a liaison between acquisition sponsor, Group finance and operational finance functions
  • Monitor and analyse ongoing performance of acquisitions against approved business plans
  • Supervise Finance Analyst:
  • Manage, mentor and guide direct report - sharing expertise and knowledge to support growth, learning and development

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years FP&A or finance business partnering experience, with a track record of managing teams
  • Professional certified qualification (CFA/CPA/CA/AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or global equivalent) with post-qualification experience of +2 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related discipline
  • Strong English language skills
  • Expert knowledge in business analysis, analysing large data sets and information management
  • Experience in data modelling, and simplifying complex data into compelling, clear, and actionable insights using Excel and reporting tools
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with a proven aptitude to interpret customer and financial data
  • Good knowledge of core finance systems, ERP and related specialty functional systems, frameworks, and functionality
  • Strong digital literacy with financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Commercial mindset with an ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to lead by example, hold teams, customers, and partners to account
