A Birmingham-based construction business is seeking a FP&A Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a financial planning and analysis role, preferably in the construction industry.

Responsibilities of the FP&A Accountant

  • Work closely with the finance team to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to the business
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies and plans
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns
    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis

Requirement for the of the FP&A Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling software
