What will you be doing?

This role involves the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control responsibilities in the Order to Cash process.

A key role in the cash flow of the organisation, ensuring that credit terms are monitored and controlled effectively.

Responsible for the debt recovery process within terms agreed and maintaining the accuracy of transactional finance data throughout the process.

As a Billing Assistant / Credit Controller, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • Allocate payments to customer accounts on daily basis.
  • Take credit card payments over the telephone from customers.
  • Liaise closely with Orders and Sales departments to ensure accuracy of information provided, check sales orders for correctness and post invoices accordingly.
  • Ensure debts are paid in a timely manner and reduce debtor days by proactively chasing debt by telephone and email, maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of debt.
  • Keep FOS "Orders - Shipped and not Invoiced" to a minimum.
  • Record monthly FOS invoices from suppliers and issued to customers on the FOS database to assist Financial Analysts with accurate revenue/cost calculations.
  • Keep unallocated cash to a minimum.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by Manager or Senior Credit Controller.


The below will enable you to shine in this role:
  • Demonstrable experience in a B2B credit control/cash collection role.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting rules and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Collaborative team player, at ease communicating with colleagues throughout the business and via various means.
  • Appreciation of cultural differences, working across a Global market.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as excel & outlook.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.


You Will Have An Advantage With
  • Experience with Microsoft NAV.
  • Experience in a global, multi-location, multi-currency business.
