**Job Title:** Production Operative - Footwear Factory

**Location:** Park Farm, Wellingborough

**Position Type:** Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent)

**About Our Client:**
As a leading footwear manufacturer known for producing high-quality, bespoke footwear, our client are dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation, creating footwear that meets the unique needs and preferences of our customers. As they expand operations, we are seeking dedicated Production Operatives to join their team.

While experience in footwear making is ideal, we also welcomes candidates with hands-on bespoke production experience. This role is critical to ensuring the production of top-quality footwear and contributing to our client’s commitment to craftsmanship.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Production Tasks:** Perform a variety of production tasks, including cutting, sewing, assembly, and finishing of footwear components to meet production targets and quality standards.

2. **Quality Control:** Inspect and assess finished products for quality and consistency. Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in the manufacturing process.

3. **Material Handling:** Safely handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment within the factory. Ensure proper storage and organisation of materials.

4. **Machine Operation:** Operate machinery and equipment such as sewing machines, cutting machines, and finishing tools. Follow safety guidelines and protocols for machine operation.

5. **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and meet production deadlines. Communicate effectively within the team.

6. **Adherence to Standards:** Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to maintain product quality and consistency.

7. **Safety:** Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.

8. **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality in the production process.

**Qualifications:**

• Previous experience in footwear manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory. Hands-on bespoke production experience in other industries will be considered.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new manufacturing techniques and processes.

**Working Hours:**
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
