Our client, a wildlife conservation charity, are looking for a catering assistant who thrives in a busy work environment, cares about delivering excellent customer service, and wants to positively contribute to the successful operation of their café! You will work as part of the team taking orders, serving and clearing away, and they will train you to prepare tasty, ethical food and make creamy barista coffees. It can be a busy and often non-stop environment to work in, but if thats your thing youll be in your element!

This role is for variable hours each week, and will involve weekend and bank holiday working.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Computer literate
  • Basic food hygiene
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • High understanding of the principals of food hygiene
  • Excellent levels of personal hygiene
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work loads
  • Multitasking
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to manage and respond quickly and positively to customer needs and feedback
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Experience of working at a catering environment /visitor attraction
  • Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
  • Knowledge of food and food service skills
  • Till operation and payment handling
