HMP Dovegate is a category B male establishment prison based on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border near Uttoxeter.

We have an opening for a FM Manager to join our team here at HMP Dovegate. The Facilities Manager is accountable for the overall delivery of FM Services

The Key Accountabilities For This Role Include
  • Driving and delivering contracted FM service levels to a client that are safe, high quality, financially viable and operationally functional.
  • Managing and directing the on-site team in the delivery of services required from the contract.
  • Ensure all contractual KPIs/SLAs are reported and achieved in line with contract Business Plan.
  • To develop and be accountable for departmental budgets, staffing, and capital expenditure.
  • To advise and assist across the contract where necessary.
  • Have a thorough understanding of PPM and reactive/remedial works scheduling and programming.
  • Ensuring the team have the required tools and equipment, including PPE to safely carry out their work.
  • Ability to carry out mentoring & coaching of staff
  • To seek to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness of FM services and delivery.
  • To identify risk requirements and implement plans for the recruitment, training and
  • Liaise closely with the Operations Manager to ensure service delivery within the site.

What You Will Need To Do The Job

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate that you have a strong background in Facilities Management. You must have the Ability to recruit, lead and direct people successfully. It is essential that you are focused on delivering a high quality service to clients.

It is important that you have a high standard of oral and written communication to facilitate and document discussions, meetings, financial data and projects.

Must have demonstrable experience of working with and managing multidisciplinary teams, ability to integrate and work as part of the client’s team, and to support diverse teams. Have the ability to monitor deadlines and performance in-line with required standards outlined within contracts.

Form part of the out of hours Duty Management Role dealing with Major Incidents.

Be willing to travel to other sites in support of the Senior Management Team.
