In accordance to the Medical Standard Operations Procedures, the Fleet Medical Services Coordinator provides coaching and delivers training fleet-wide to the shipboard medical centres, conducts inspections, audits and implement correctives actions to ensure compliance.

  • Excellent Communication skills in English, both oral and written;
  • Registered nurse N&MC mandatory;
  • At least 5 years of Nursing Practice and 2 years’ experience in a similar role at sea;
  • Office based with some travels to vessels;
  • Proficient in Microsoft office package, particularly excel;
  • Ability to integrate current international and public health guidelines into maritime medicine;
  • Training and coaching skills;
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Keeps abreast on best practice principles, audit standards, Medical Standard Operations Procedures Manual and ensure compliance;
  • Liaises directly with shipboard Medical Centres’ to coach, manage, instruct and support the team, following the SOP manual;
  • Delivers training, provides coaching and supervision to the shipboard medical centres to ensure compliance with local, international and legal standards. Implements corrective actions where needed;
  • Implements shipboard training manuals and procedures accordingly to the cruise industry standards, regulations and requirements;
  • Provides support and relevant information for Special needs, legal claims dept, etc;
  • Uses SeaCare system Management (Electronic medical records) fleet-wide, including liaising directly with the providers related to the system and supporting shipboard medical staff;
  • Takes part of the Emergency Response team, which implies, but not limited to, traveling to any vessels experiencing an outbreak/medical situation, when required.
  • Manages the MMS system and liaises directly with the Procurement Department representative regarding the purchase of medications, equipment and medical supplies;
  • Develops reports analyzing the consumption of supplies, medications, drugs consumption, equipment use & checklist and revenue on a monthly basis. Conducts inventories;
