Job Profile

Installation Manager required. Our client is a well-established Fire & Security business that operates nationally. They are now looking for an Installation Manager to join in the Manchester/Lake District/ Preston area due to the growth of the business.

Successful candidates will have experience leading a team of installation engineers, providing technical support and training, making sure work is being performed inline with the quotes provided as well as building relationships with clients.

Installation Manager Position Overview

  • Ensure installations projects are delivered to the relevant Health & Safety standards, and take on procedures are adhered to.
  • Define training schedule for the Installation Team and with the assistance where required of technical support train Engineers to Manufacturers Standards/ NSI standards.
  • Make sure knowledge is kept up to date with yourself and engineers, providing training when needed.
  • Perform toolbox talks.
  • Complete 2 site Health & Safety audits per Engineer per year
  • Ensure all Engineers equipment is PAT and calibrated tested
  • Ensure meter calibration is on target and completed
  • Act as lead contact as required for all external audits ensuring all audit information requested is delivered in desired format in given timescales.
  • Work with the surveyor to ensure their installation is project managed in support of their surveyor and scope of works.
  • Provide handover to service team if required once the installation project is complete.
  • Ensure your team are competent to deliver installation to audit standards, have received full product training to add value to the installation process and enhance customer service.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer installation matters.
  • Alongside a surveyor attend all prospective or existing customer meetings, to ensure the relevant information is obtained from the appointment, and a positive outcome can be secured.
  • Prepare reports on project status to internal customers and highlight any area of concerns which could put the installation at risk.
  • Provide on-site Project Management and site supervision of large installations as required ensuring schedule for 1st fix is on target, programming and scheduling of 2nd fix and commissioning.
  • Where required produce quotes for additions and referrals
  • Resolving new installations complaints and complete site visits.
  • Provide regular and detailed reporting to the Group Installation Manager

Installation Manager Position Requirements

  • 3 years+ Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder alarms
  • Time served as an Engineer / Technician.

Installation Manager Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £38,000- £40,000
  • Working hours: 40 hours a week
  • Holiday Package: 23 days + 8 BH
