Hendy Group have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team. This role reports directly in to the Group Financial Controller, and has become available due to internal promotion.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will provide first class financial planning, reporting and forecasting along with leading the monthly management accounts ensuring that financial data is accurate and presented in a way that aids strategic and operational decision making.

The Opportunity:

The key accountabilities and responsibilities of the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be:

  • Lead, manage and motivate the Management Accounting Team;
  • Participate as part of the designated Senior Leadership Team of the business;
  • Take ownership for the delivery of accurate and meaningful monthly management accounts;
  • Support the operational budget and forecast processes;
  • Operate the management information systems in order to deliver key insights to the business;
  • Develop and improve the management information to provide a relevant, broad and balanced picture of the Group’s performance and outlook;
  • Ensure manufacturer composite reporting is delivered promptly and accurately, and used to generate insights both for Hendy and the manufacturers;
  • Control certain elements of the balance sheet which are integrally linked to accurate management accounts, most notably bonus debtors, and accruals & prepayments;
  • Help drive improvement in business performance;

About You:

To succeed in this role you will need to be a qualified accountant with strong financial and analytical skills as well as a strong sense of business acumen. A positive attitude and the drive for change are essential for this role and experience of working in a large complex business in a fast paced industry is preferable. Experience within the automotive industry is not essential.
