We are proud to describe the way we operate as world-class in our approach to both our customers and our colleagues, which is why our approach to colleague engagement is so important to enable us to achieve an exceptional colleague experience. For this reason, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications and Engagement specialist to join our People team, taking a lead role in developing and delivering our internal communication programme to increase colleague engagement and establish clear links between our internal stories and employer brand.
Reporting to our People Director, you’ll play a crucial role working with a range of key stakeholders managing multiple workstreams across the engagement agenda as part of the broader People agenda. Whether this is through our intranet, by internal messaging/updates to our colleagues or promoting colleague wellbeing, your role will never be short on variety and this is a great opportunity to make an impact and build credibility within our business.
Working closely with our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing internal brand and communication guidelines, ensuring consistency of tone and language is prevalent throughout. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our leaders with communication and messaging on internal news, ensuring that our company values are embedded in both our communication activity and development of our employer brand.
Whilst this is a full time opportunity, flexible working will be considered.
About you
What is important to us is that you are a proven internal communications specialist, ideally with a focus on people and engagement. A fundamental part of this role will be to ensure that all of our internal communication and engagement activity is pulled together into a single plan, therefore your organisational and project management skills should be second to none. Taking into account the nature of this role, it goes without saying that your ability to build relationships and influence at all levels is crucial in order to be successful.
What is equally important is that you have a creative flair and experience in using compelling language to promote stories to increase engagement and colleague satisfaction. Due to the breadth and depth of this role, you’ll need to be comfortable working at pace and self-manage whilst at the same time having an appreciation of the bigger picture and the importance of our communications agenda in line with our group vision.
The Rewards
As well as a competitive salary and a performance related bonus, we offer a structured career with the opportunity for personal development and training within our rewarding environment. In addition, you can expect the following additional benefits:

  • Bespoke induction and training programme and ongoing development throughout your career
  • Discounts on new vehicle, used vehicle, service and parts purchases
  • Various perks and discounts with high street and online retailers and services.

If you think you possess the necessary experience, skills and qualifications and would like to be part of Hendy Group’s success, select Apply Now and submit your CV with a short letter of introduction highlighting the experience and contribution you would bring to this role and why you’d love to join Team Hendy.
