Our client is expanding and is now looking to take on a (preferably) qualified Financial Controller to manage the Group finances in-house.

About the Financial Controller role: This role is our number one in finances and currently there are no reports but this structure will change over time.

The role is currently responsible for all areas of finance including Financial Accounts, Management Accounts (incl KPI analysis, cost accounting etc) and transactional finance.

You will also be responsible for assisting with Corporation Tax calculations and general Tax submissions alongside the auditors.

This role is quite commercial in nature, and your financial/commercial analysis will form a part of the decision making at board level, therefore there is the opportunity for career progression.

The following will also be involved in a day-day basis:
  • Statutory Accounts
  • Management Accounts
  • Financial/Commercial Analysis
  • Consolidations including commentary to Group
  • Balance Sheets/Cashflow forecasting
  • Providing reconciliations to supplier
  • Bank Transactions
  • Managing accounting system and operation rules/procedures
  • Handling of Audit
  • Corporate tax
  • VAT returns
  • Managing budget vs actual Experience: The ideal candidate will be either ACA, ACMA or ACCA qualified with around 3 years experience.
However candidates with solely long term industry experience will also be considered.
