Financial Controller

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are working alongside a leading Cornwall-based client to recruit a Financial Controller to join their expanding team. Reporting into the Finance Director & dealing directly with a range of stakeholders, this role is fantastic for a confident Financial Controller that enjoys getting stuck in, with opportunities to make a real impact within the business.

Alongside managing the financial transactions of various projects, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring Financial transactions are recorded, filed & reported accurately & correctly.

• Providing data & reports for projects to monitor performance.

• Identifying any problems that arise during projects & proactively finding solutions.

• Ensuring relevant documents are completed & up to date.

• Ensuring projects are compliant with legal structures & guidance.

• Internal & external reporting for a range of stakeholders, including non-finance staff.

• Financial reporting for each project to enable timely group reporting.

• Support the Finance team across the business as required by the Finance Director.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Is fully qualified with a real interest in CPD and subscribes to the organisation’s values.

• Has in-depth knowledge of Companies Act, IFRS, legal structures & a working knowledge of Corporation Tax Principles and VAT.

• A problem solver able to think creatively to find solutions & opportunities, including seeking external guidance where appropriate.

• Advanced Excel, with strong IT skills, able to pick up new systems quickly.

• Confident & able to get stuck into a faced paced & rapidly changing environment.

• Articulate & able to understand legal documents, instilling the processes required to fill obligations.

This role is in a scenic location between Launceston & Plymouth, allowing for an easy commute.
