CMA Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing SME based in Basingstoke. This role will play an integral part of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the MD and managing a small team with wide visibility of the whole business.

As well as delivering financial rigour, support and information in line with the needs and requirements of the business, the Financial Controller will provide business-partnering support to the Project teams and spearhead key projects to upgrade systems and processes to support the business growth.

What will the role involve?
  • Delivery of financial and operational controls and business processes;
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and cash flow management;
  • Manage a small team and oversee finance transactions;
  • Business partnering Project Managers and Operations, delivering commercial support;
  • Business modelling including budgeting and forecasting;
  • Financial analysis, highlighting variances and identifying risks and opportunities to improve financial results;
  • Leading the statutory audit process and preparation of quarterly VAT returns;
  • Systems lead on upgrade project.
Suitable Candidate
  • ACCA/ACA or CIMA with a high level of financial accounting experience;
  • Experience working at a senior level in an SME environment;
  • Strong systems experience;
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, enthusiasm, accuracy and attention to detail.
