The client are an International Firm with offices in Sheffield and Leeds.

Job Description

The Financial Compliance Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Providing financial compliance leadership to the firm which leads to a strong financial compliance culture throughout the International firm
• Develop and implement supporting processes to effectively monitor the financial compliance landscape across the International firm and act as a trusted advisor to support the continual improvement in compliance
• Provide clear and compelling reporting on financial compliance findings, issues and risks and drive change in process or controls to mitigate as needed
• Perform risk assessments on key activities and use this information to drive the compliance monitoring review programme
• Lead and deliver the compliance monitoring review programme which reacts to risks faced and provides active challenge to management and provides assurance to the Audit Committee of the firm’s financial control environment
• Evaluate risks and mitigating controls and report on findings with emphasis on meaningful improvements
• Increase the focus and understanding of the firm’s financial compliance responsibilities through a rolling programme of training and communication including training for new joiners

The Successful Applicant

The Financial Compliance Manager should be a;

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
• External or internal audit background required
• A clear, confident and concise communicator to stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Ability to engage in open dialogue, provide pragmatic solutions, dealing with conflict as required whilst maintaining good working partnerships with all areas of the business
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and challenge
• Analytical, methodical and risk-aware
• Inquisitive and wants to understand the root cause of an issue
