What this job involves

This role is primarily to support the Financial Control team with their monthly US GAAP reporting and other local statutory reporting obligations.
Planning and coordination of US and UK GAAP audit timetables, managing both JLL teams and the auditors to ensure deadlines are met

Review of accounts workings and Caseware documents prepared by Financial Accountant

Monthly GL close coordination, including reconciliation reviews and improvements, coordinating with teams in other countries and preparation of consolidated reporting to EMEA

Monthly payroll, bonus and (if relevant) severance approval, analysis, reconciliation and journals

UK Group VAT return risk assessment and partial exemption review

Liaising with shared service centre and considering whether controls are being appropriately followed

Training junior team members

Desired skills and experience for this job
2 – 5 years post qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA

Strong technical experience in UK GAAP, prior audit experience preferred

US GAAP experience preferred

IT literate

Experience of working effectively to meet multiple deadlines

Preferred characteristics:
Team player

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

An excellent eye for detail

Ability to remain effective under pressure

Ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English, including those who may not have a financial background
