What this role involves
The European Funds Placement team at JLL is looking for a Senior Associate or Director to assist with the equity raising activities of the group. Working closely with the existing team, s/he will assist in maintaining relationships with institutional investors in Europe and marketing Real Estate Funds to them. They will also participate in regular communication with our Fund Manager clients, providing them with reporting as well as keeping the JLL CRM system fully updated with all activities undertaken and communications with investors. Where investors have shown interest in products, the person will assist with the due diligence process, ensuring that investor requests are answered by the Fund manager in a timely manner and to a suitably high quality.

Other activities may include undertaking investor research regarding appetite to invest in particular sectors geographies or risk profiles before a decision is made to engage on a specific fundraising project. If travel normalises the role will start to involve investor meetings overseas and coordination of roadshows where fund managers present their strategies to previously qualified investors.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of working experience and some knowledge of the European Institutional Investor Landscape. Fluent English is a prerequisite and an additional European Language would be a plus. An understanding of alternative investments is key as are good analytical and numerical skills. However, excellent interpersonal skills are a must as is a team focussed attitude.

Strong real asset background/education
Numerical literacy: Understanding of what drives real estate returns
Understanding of real estate capital stack: equity and debt

Some knowledge of institutional investors in Europe and some experience of marketing directly to this group
Experience of maintaining CRM system
