A leading import and distribution company committed to environmentally responsible practices are looking for a Financial Accountant to support the Head of Finance.The role is open to a first move from practice or a career move from industryKey dutries include;Daily
  • Manage and reconcile multiple currency bank accounts.
  • Authorise Bills of Exchange.
  • Oversee purchase ledger and trade payments.
  • Forecast USD requirements.
  • Monitor short-term cash flow.
  • Reconcile invoice financing facilities.
Monthly
  • Adjust accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Reconcile control accounts.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances.
  • Prepare and post journal adjustments.
  • Manage petty cash and reconciliation.
  • Perform month-end ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.
General
  • Coordinate annual statutory audit.
  • Supervise the purchase ledger department.
  • Support process improvements and financial reporting enhancements.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for three companies.
  • Assist the Finance Director.
