Our Newbury based client is a Not for Profit based business, currently going through a significant transition period and require a Financial Accountant on a temporary basis to support them through the project.The Financial Accountant will support the business to set up group reporting and coordinate the identification and transfer of assets, customers, suppliers and balance sheet items from an acquired business to the parent company.Although predominantly based in Newbury with hybrid working, there will be a requirement for some UK based travel as part of the role.What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
  • Assessment of site costs to propose subsidiary management and service charges;
  • Assess status of current accounts with a view to recommending adjustments prior to year-end;
  • Financial year end preparation;
  • Liaising with the in-house legal team and supporting any activities that have a legal requirement;
  • Liaise with HR to support TUPE transfer of staff;
  • Assessment impact of payroll changes.
Suitable Candidate For The Financial Accountant Vacancy
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with strong knowledge and experience of group accounts and intercompany charges;
  • Understand the complexities of splitting the assets of one company and transferring to parent company;
  • Strong communication, business partnering and stakeholder management experience;
  • Sage 50 system knowledge an advantage.
