CMA Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a growing international business, based in Basingstoke, to recruit a Financial Accountant.Supporting the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the ownership and production of financial reports and supporting schedules across numerous countries within the business. You will also to assist with the month end close process, annual audit and the preparation of statutory accounts for multiple UK entities.What will the role involve?
  • Preparation of month end journals, management accounts, monthly balance sheet and cash flow;
  • Ensuring financial statements are prepared in line with accounting standards & group reporting timeframes;
  • Supporting the year end audit, working with external auditors;
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and PSA;
  • Development of internal accounting processes;
  • Intercompany reconciliations.
Suitable Candidate
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with previous experience as a Financial Accountant or looking to make a first time move into industry;
  • Process driven with the ability to strengthen internal controls;
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards;
  • Cooperative/collaborative with excellent communication skills;
  • Advanced IT skills including use of ERP accounting systems and Excel.
