We’re seeking an experienced and highly motivated Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)to join our recently created Finance Product Team, contributing to the delivery of change so that the financial objectives of VWFS are satisfied.

With visibility right across transformational change programmes to smaller change initiatives, this is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to ensure that the correct accounting treatment across all change is captured and provide analytics that support the integration into the systems of Financial Control.

About the role:

  • Assess and consult on the change portfolio to ensure that Finance requirements are captured
  • Interpret and advise the business on the potential impact and required changes to postings and calculations within the source systems as a result of proposed business change and developments within the accounting and regulatory landscape
  • Work with various stakeholders across the business to advise on the impact of changes and potential solutions, presenting to senior management and influencing outcomes
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of core IT systems, finance processes and financial data in order to streamline processes and gain insights from analytics
  • Lead and execute the design, creation and implementation of data modelling solutions to ensure correct accounting treatment for business or system change
  • Possess and maintain extensive understanding of the VWFS Balance Sheet and VWFS products, supporting the delivery of a consultative service to other business areas
  • Provide analysis of big data to gain insights in response to senior management queries on financial data

About you:

  • Finance professional with experience of credit products and associated accounting requirements
  • Previous experience of working on operational/transformational projects with the ability to influence business change and project solutions
  • You will have an analytical approach with experience of statistical/financial analysis and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of tools and techniques for data mining and transformation of large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Motivated by new challenges and a willingness to take ownership of tasks. High level of drive and personal commitment, with a desire to develop own skills and experience.
