Finance Manager - Real Estate

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Real Estate Management Hub in the UK. As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for the Real Estate specific accounting topics across the Hub and Global Real Estate Management, as well as international commercial projects.

You will be based at one of Siemens Mobility sites however we are flexible around location and we are happy to consider applications from across the UK. Working from home will also be possible due to the recently adopted “new normal” working hours.

This is your role

• Technical Real Estate specific accounting topics such as IFRS 1, vacancy provision, impairments, fixed asset accounting etc
• Highlight opportunities and risks arising from accounting topics and projects
• Business Administration support for option comparisons for commercial real estate projects
• M&A baselining of properties
• Business Administration interface for commercial Real Estate projects
• Preparation of documentation for approvals for business, Hub and Global sign off
• Commercial project definition and preparation, including cost/investment calculations
• Support in implementation of Real Estate guidelines and principles within responsible countries
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Cover for other Finance Manager’s as required

What skills and experience you will need to succeed in this role

Essential:

• Previous experience in an Accounting and Finance role in an international company
• CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW qualified (or equivalent)
• The ability to managing finance in a dynamic and growing business
• The ability to communicate clearly with different levels of stakeholders across the business
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally

Preferred:

• Previous Real Estate experience
