About the Role

Joining us as Finance Manager, you will effectively lead, manage and motivate the team responsible for the production of statutory accounts and processing of financial routines. This includes the maintenance of the finance and property databases as well as all creditor, debtor and payroll services.

You will act as the technical expert in accounting and lead on accounting policy and practice as well as having specific responsibility for the completion of quarterly VAT returns.

About you

Candidates for this role will hold a professional accountancy qualification (such as CCAB or equivalent) and have previous experience of working in a similar role. An excellent technical accountant with experience of FRS102, you will be an experienced people manager and be able to support your team through a period of change.

We’d like you to have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. We’d like you to have the ability to work under pressure, deliver to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities, and have experience of planning and leading a year end process. Experience of working within a housing association is desirable, as is experience with SUN and/or Aareon QL.
