Company Bio * Ascendis are a multi-site accountancy, taxation and business advisory practice serving entrepreneurial and fast growing owner-managed companies across Cheshire and the North-West. The company has seen significant growth over recent years, and this has continued despite the the Covid pandemic, with additional service lines evolving through our young, dynamic and ambitious culture. * The recently established Corporate Finance team services a wide introducer base spanning its own clients, corporate lawyers, partners, financial services and private equity firms.

Advisory work spans transactions ranging from £0.5m to £50m including Cross-Border, MBO, MBI, BIMBO, Buy-Side, Sell-Side, Transaction Services, Venture Capital, Specialty Lending and Debt Advisory. * Given the growth in opportunity, the company is recruiting in order to establish a broad team able to deliver on an exciting 5 year plan. Role Bio * The role of the Manager is to assist the Director across a wide range of workstreams.
  • The Manager will be expected to either be ready to or proximate to developing into a position where they can lead on work assigned to them, with Director and Executive support. * The desired candidate will have a high work ethic, be driven in their own development, demonstrate a collegiate attitude to their peers and revel in working with clients to solve problems often under time pressure in an unstructured fashion. * The role is best expected to serve those looking to elevate themselves to "Head of..." or Director Positions in future years and therefore, candidates who have a capacity to both win business and assist on delivering the training and development of junior team members would be favourably considered.
  • +2yrs PQE, a minimum 1-2yr Corporate Finance or Transaction Service experience is preferrable but not a necessity depending on the attitude/skill-set of the candidate. * Note that developing leads is not an immediate requirement but the desire to develop a network and support business owners and peers, is. Responsibilities * Conduct transaction and thematic research activities.
  • Contribute to network development including new business, partners, introducers and sector and service experts able to assist clients. * Contribute to preparing working papers, valuations, options reviews, financial models, presentations and transaction documents. * Assist the Directors with presentations, pitching and deal execution.
  • Exposure to firms own investment transactions could well feature. * Retained assignments for clients and partners can be considered. * Training and CPD of junior staff Reward * Competitive salary.
