What we are looking for

  • We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our UK team and oversee the financial operations and compliance of our local entity.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that our financial reporting, tax obligations, and internal controls are in line with the UK regulations and the group policies.
  • You will also provide financial analysis and insights to support the growth and profitability of our UK business.
  • You will report directly to the UK CFO and work closely with the group finance team based in Athens.

What you will do

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the UK entity.
  • Ensure compliance with the UK tax regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and PAYE.
  • Manage the external audit process including writing an accounting paper and liaise with the auditors and tax advisors.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with the group standards like IFRS 1, 9 ECL & 15 Revenue recognition.
  • Manage the cash flow and the treasury functions of the UK entity.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process and provide variance analysis and commentary along with the KPI.
  • Analyse the financial performance and profitability of the UK business and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the Financial reconciliation for safeguarding accountability and advantageous to know the CASS Rule book.
  • Collaborate with the group finance team and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a payments, fintech, or e-commerce company.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK tax regulations along with IFRS & UK GAAP.
  • Experience in managing external audits and dealing with tax authorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
