Finance Manager – 35 hours per week, £31,000 per annum

We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our busy team as Finance Manager. Your primary role is to manage the accounting function for all the operations of the Trust including the requirement to provide reports within agreed deadlines and liaising with external agencies wherever appropriate on matters relating to finance. You will lead, support and motivate a small team of Accounts Officers.

Our ideal applicant will have / possess:

  • 3 years finance experience, or previous experience in a similar role
  • AAT Level 3 or 4
  • Experience working in a health and social care setting would be beneficial
  • Very strong excel and analytical skills
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Sage Payroll experience
  • Clear understanding of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounting software;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines.
  • People management experience – supervisory duties managing a small team
  • A flexible, proactive and willing approach
  • An innovative and inquisitive mind to challenge and improve existing and new process and controls.
