We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our busy team in Wolverhampton!

The successful candidate will be inspirational leader who embraces innovation and a proven ability to deliver business process improvement and automation that proactively drives and support the growth of the business. Previous accounting experience and strong systems. Sage & Excel will be particularly advantageous.

You will prepare and provide financial information, support and advice to staff and management in line with the companys strategic ambitions and priorities, delivering a high quality financial and management accounts service to the directors. You will also ensure that all Finance Policies and Procedures are carried out in line with appropriate regulations.

Working closely with the Operations, Compliance and Senior Leadership team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to streamline and automate process improvements and efficiencies.

Location: Primarily based in Wolverhampton but may have some requirements to travel to other locations as and when required.

Finance Manager Duties
  • Management of Finance team driving performance through innovation and efficiency. Consistently develop and implement the companies policies, staff appraisals, performance management, and development
  • Work effectively across business functions, collaborating and building rapport and forging effective relationships to support the business objectives, internally and with third parties
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of accounting records that ensures the monthly production of management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Cash flow management, including reconciliations of bank accounts as well as Sales analysis month end reports and presentations
  • Effective and efficient management of debtors and creditors
  • Ensuring that the key control account reconciliations and finance processes are effectively carried out monthly
  • Meeting all relevant statutory requirements including VAT and Inland Revenue returns
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of an effective budget production, monitoring and management system that facilitates and underpins operational and strategic planning.
  • Monitoring business performance, cash flow, overseeing and monitoring budgets by working with different departments
  • Preparing accounts, developing financial models, and planning for future strategy
  • Represent the business positively and effectively in dealings with external parties
  • Oversee Payroll and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Any other duties for the requested by the Company it considers appropriate to your abilities, including duties which would not normally be associated with your job title. Schemes with payroll officer and HR
Finance Manager Requirements
  • ACCA (ACA/CIMA qualified or studying with study option available)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong verbal and written writing skills
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Computer literate to Advanced level (Outlook, Word, Excel.) (preferred)
  • Sage 50 Accounts Professional (preferred)
  • Strong personality with ability to constructively challenge a very strong sales team
  • Self-sufficient and prepared to take on any ad hoc roles as and when required in this dynamic office environment
  • Ambitious and inspirational individual with a strong Finance background
  • Proven experience of delivering process improvements
  • Finance Software experience
  • Able to take ownership, lead and motivate a continuous improvement cycle
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Professional and self-motivated
  • A hunger to achieve and go above and beyond
  • KPI target driven
