CMA are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an entrepreneurial and fast growing enterprise based in Basingstoke. They are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager, who will work closely with the Managing Director to help shape the finance team and future direction of the business. This is a diverse and hands on role, with one current direct report and offers a fantastic opportunity to progress and grow with the business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive previous experience, an incredible eye for detail and be highly organised. Good communication skills are key when speaking to customers or suppliers as well as other internal teams.

What will the role involve?
  • Preparation of monthly and year-end accounts, prepare management accounts with commentary and analysis;
  • Provide analysis and detail to support the annual budgeting process;
  • Reconcile monthly control accounts; undertake margin and variance analysis, providing commentary on variances;
  • Work with a continuous improvement attitude to processes and make recommendations;
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, daily reconciliation of bank accounts and releasing payments;
  • Monthly VAT Returns and Statutory reporting, managing cash flow;
  • Managing an accounts assistant.
Suitable Candidate
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with a good level of similar experience;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong systems skills;
  • Happy to be hands-on with a pro-active and enthusiastic approach.
